Christmas 2013 Post#3

Christmas 2013

Last but not least. This rug was made for my Aunt Ginny for Christmas this year. This rug was made from sheets I got from my mother in-law. Hard to believe old sheets could make something so awesome. The dark green is the sheets I used. The other colors I chose to give a bit more color. I am all about reusing things to make something new and amazing. Color is so amazing. you can incorporate so many colors to make a project just come to life.

Locker hooking is very addicting. Strips of fabric all weaved in and out of a mesh canvas. It is very time consuming. But, very enjoyable. Every project comes out very different from the other. Changing directions and different color fabric can make your project change. The sky is the limit of what you can make with this kind of craft. With locker hooking you can make pictures as well as just simple things like the below picture. I love locker hooking.

Christmas 2013

This is a picture of the purse I made for my niece Andrea for Christmas 2013. One of her favorite colors is green. I started out making it as a basket. But it just turned into a purse. I am very please with the purse and how it turned out. It is a locker hooking purse. Very fun and addicting craft. My inspiration came form a video I watched on making a basket. But of course it did not turn into a basket.
